Fogo

This work came about after I took a course in Kufic calligraphy.

Iraqi calligraphers, where the primitive form of Arabic appears, made their own pen, out of pieces of bamboo
The pen made of wood / a plant element, imposes different rules for writing. Unlike metal, wood rubs and finds strength in paper. Everything gets ‘hotter’, and you get the impression that this friction will fire.

In the video I try to write the word TRANS-VERB-BERRAR.
A text that is constantly corrected by hand and never done completely.
I investigate the impossibility of writing to apprehend the ever escaping dimension of the real.
