Arena
A labyrinth made of metal sticks and wire occupies the different exhibition spaces. In a separate room, a screen transmits live images from multiple points of the maze and its visitors, followed by the narration of the text “Monster” by the Cuban writer Reynaldo Arenas.
The labyrinth experience differs from the video: the one who walks inside the maze does not see himself on the screen. Instead, like a relocated mirror, the images show the space, combined with the bodies and the text.
The visitor is thus the central key to completing the meaning of the work, being its protagonist without knowing.
