Luca by Luca by Luca
The poem “Passionnément” de Ghérasim Luca is a radical shift in poetry. The sentences violently explode, and the words fragment into minimal semantic units. This mosaic of sounds was the starting point for my installation.
I used seven speakers to fill the big interior hall with the poet’s voice. Then, like a gun machine, the fragments moved from one point to the other, heavily resonating and combining to form new, unpredictable meanings.
The end culminates with a big shout, loudly echoing in the space: “Je t’aime. Passionémént” (“I love you. Passionately “), which is also the end of the poem.
